When two friends were catching up for supper at an eatery in Bedok, Singapore, one of them realised that a tissue seller was just standing alone watching customers eat their food.

Realising the man was hungry, 24-year-old Singaporean Khairul and his friend decided to buy him a meal.

After a few moments, Khairul, who was still eating with his friend, realised the man was unable to feed himself so he approached the man to see if he needed any assistance.

He did not get a verbal response but the man nodded and smiled, signalling that he was unable to speak, so Khairul took it as a yes and fed the man patiently.
