It’s never too late to get inked, especially if you’re world’s most famous time-traveller.. Michael J. Fox, who’s known for his iconic role as Marty McFly in the Back To The Future franchise recently shared a picture of his first tattoo (at age 57) on Instagram–a cool image of a sea turtle with a cryptic caption: “First tattoo, sea turtle, long story”.
The 57-year old actor who has been living with Parkinson’s disease since 1991, got his first tattoo at Bang Bang NYC in New York, a parlour famous for its celebrity clients such as Rihanna, Justin Bieber and Demi Lovato. The studio also posted on a photo on Instagram, with shop owner Keith ‘Bang Bang’ McCurdy and tattoo artist Mr. K holding signed goodies/special movie memorabilia gifted by Mr. Fox – a hoverboard and a Nike Mag, both featured in Back to the Future 2.
If you’re wondering why a sea turtle, well McCurdy revealed the animal’s importance in Fox’s life in Inked Magazine.
McCurdy explained: “He was telling me that there was a transformation for him with his career decisions when he was swimming in Saint John. He spotted this turtle with a chunk missing from its fin and a scar on his face, and that turtle let him swim for about a half an hour. He made a transcending decision right after that. So that turtle was pretty significant to him.”
